Lease stalls to a trainer or business
TL;DR
On a horse owner’s profile, lease empty stalls exclusively to that owner (often a business), or a shared pasture allotment. Exclusive needs a signed unit-lease contract or a manager override. Pro after trial.

- pro
How to
- Open Clients (
/app/clients). Add or edit the lease holder. Choose Business if they have a barn name (required), with the primary contact underneath. - Open the owner → Leases. Pro after trial (trial includes it).
- Exclusive stall: pick an empty stall, start date, optional end date. Saves as a draft until a unit-lease contract is signed (or a manager override).
- Shared pasture: pick a pasture, set allotment count, activate. Stall board shows 4/10 reserved {name}.
- Exclusive units badge Leased — {name}. End the lease when the block is over.
Filter the clients list by Boarder / Lease holder / Sub-tenant. Sub-tenants appear after the lease holder adds them in the lease workspace.
Example
Willow Training LLC (contact Alex Rivera) leases stalls A-01 through A-04 and a 4-horse allotment on PAD-1. Staff save four exclusive drafts, send a unit-lease contract, then activate. The map badges those stalls “Leased — Willow Training LLC” and PAD-1 “4/10 reserved Willow Training LLC”. Barn-managed horses cannot be assigned into the exclusive stalls while the leases are active.

What this is not
- Not a second barn (no nested organization).
- Shared turnout how-to lives in turnout-allotments. Contracts in unit-lease-contracts.
- Invoices the trainer sends to horse owners live in sub-tenant-billing.
- Copy never says Guest — this is a horse owner / lease holder.
